Most of my life has been spent as a printmaker, the main area of interest being silkscreen which offers intense colour achieved by successive transparent overlays. This manner of working peaked during the years 2004 – 2009 when travelling during the summer months on our boat ‘Reveller’. The work became sensual, focusing on the wind, the waves and the swell of the sea, the movement of the fish and the line from the boat forming a rhythm, a connection, and I didn’t mind if wind translated into sea and waves become glimpses of land. That’s how it was.
